Social Status’ limited-edition take on the adidas Ultra4D will be releasing Friday, December 4th. SOCIAL STATUS X ADIDAS CONSORTIUM ULTRA 4D RELEASE INFORMATION There is likely a very interesting story surrounding this choice of colors, but unfortunately, those details are not yet available. The color scheme features a three-fold split along the Ultraboost Primeknit upper, beginning with olive green for the toebox, coyote tan for the midfoot, and scarlet red for the heel section, all mounted on an aero green 4D midsole with gum rubber outsoles. The new project, which is still very much under wraps, is said to be releasing in a run of just 3,020 pairs exclusively from the NC store.

This year, the two are adding another to that list, in the form of the new adidas Ultra 4D. The relationship between North Carolina’s Social Status and adidas, particularly the Consortium division, is particularly tight, with the two cooking up some of the most impressive sneaker releases in recent memory. James Whitner’s roundup of sneaker retailers have drawn him close with the large brands like Nike, Jordan, and adidas in the last decade, thanks to some serious success as a standalone boutique and when creating collaborative projects. Another notable adidas collaboration was with Parley.

The Renaissance retailed for 250 and was limited to 3,020 pairs. It features colors inspired by Leonardo da Vincis famed Mona Lisa and includes suede cages. This week, the two have unveiled a very limited-edition release of the futuristic Ultra4D, coming soon. That same month, Social Status designed the 'Renaissance' Ultra 4D (FY4366). James Whitner’s Social Status store in North Carolina has been a closer partner of adidas’ Consortium program for the past several years.
